WHAT IS HOMEOPSINETOLOGY?

It is a branch of homeopathy that activates the psychological mechanisms that help to cure the patient, as well as activating natural detoxification mechanisms. It follows the principles of homeopathy and is based on conventional research criteria used in clinical practice.

It seeks to explain how homeopathic products work on the basis of existing knowledge gleaned from medical publications in the field of Homeopathy, Immunotoxicology, Psychoendocrinology and Psychoneuroimmunology. It promotes research in all these fields.

ETYMOLOGY

The term homeopsinetology was coined by merging the words homeopathy, psychoneuroendocrinology and immunotoxicology:

· Homeopathy (from the Greek homeo = similar + pathos = disease): The therapy was developed by Samuel Hahnemann (1755 - 1843) and is based on the use of minute doses of substances obtained by a process of successive dilutions and dynamisations (agitations) of the original substance. The underlying principle is similitude - in order to cure the patient's symptoms, higher amounts must be reproduced in the healthy individual.

· Psychoneuroendocrinology: This medical specialty studies the relationships between the psyche, the nervous system and the endocrine system.

· Immunotoxicology: This investigates disorders caused by toxins on the immune system.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM CLASSIC HOMEOPATHY?

In classic homeopathy, the search for the homeopathic remedy is based on the similarity between the symptoms shown by the patient and those described for the different homeopathic strains in their pathogeneses collected under the different medical subjects. This is the basic practical exercise of homeopathy. Homeopsinetology does not so much use the principle of similarity with the pathogenesis of the homeopathic strain, but with its tropism on contact with tissue, reproducible data that can be extracted from phytopharmacology and toxicology.

Immunology has demonstrated that concentrations of substances between 10 -1, and 10 -12 (low and medium homeopathic dilutions) can be recognised by the immune system. Macrophages present in our tissue are able to recognise the components of the homeopathic strain, to process their antigens and present them to T-3 lymphocytes. Once these have swollen, they will migrate towards the tissues for which the strain demonstrates tropism, producing cytokines with anti-inflammatory effects. This is the case of Factor beta derived from the growth of colonies, which can justify the anti-inflammatory and immunoregulation and draining action of the homeopathic strain (Bystander effect).

IN WHAT WAYS IS HOMOTOXICOLOGY DIFFERENT TO RECKEWEG?

The therapeutic ethos of homotoxicology is based on a humoral view of disease; diseases develop through the accumulation of homotoxins and are eliminated by removing them. It focuses on neutralising and removing these homotoxins. Homeopsinetology considers the human person as a whole, especially the psychological and spiritual dimension, and tries to explain how these factors are mobilised during the homeopathic interview and the patient's relationship with the therapist.

The practical application of the therapy is seen in an ALL-EMBRACING way, giving priority to the PRIMARY aspects of prevention and the psycho-emotional study of the patient and her/his environment. Secondary to this is the use of dietary supplements, homeopathic complexes or unique strains to help to re-balance the organism. It uses knowledge of immunotoxicology to educate in the prevention of the more important immunotoxins.
