Between the different surgical techniques available to treat baldness, the one that allow us to achieve the best aesthetic results is the hair autotransplantation through micro-grafts and mini-grafts.
The capillary autotransplantation is to get hair follicles in the areas of the head where hair does not fall (neck) and transplanted to problem areas.
The micro-graft contains one or two hair and is used to give a natural look to the first line and entries; the mini-graft contains three to six hair and is used to give thickness in central areas and crown of the head.
The number of hairs that can be transplanted depends, among other factors, the area to cover and the thickness and characteristics of the hair from the origin area.
Is one surgery enough?
You should respect a minimum distance between the placement of the grafts to avoid damaging their growth so the best is to schedule, at least two sessions to get the best result in thickness. For a second surgery we will have to wait a minimum of six months to not injure the hair already transplanted.
How is the surgery?
The intervention is carried out in a surgery room under local anesthesia, such as performed by a dentist. The postsurgery period can be slightly annoying. After ten days are removed points of suture from the origin zone, where it will remain a linear scar, barely visible and hidden between the hair. In the receiving area they will remain a few small scabs that will fall after nine days. In these days must follow the care that is indicated in terms of washed and local cures.
How transplanted hair behaves?
About three months after the surgery hair starts growing behaving like non transplanted hair, it will grow like the other and should not be different care.
